LA Freewalls mural is complete at LaLa Gallery’s building on Willow and Santa Fe in DTLA. UGLARworks Evan Skrederstu and Chris Brand painted two figures caught in the middle trying to break free from the crushing abstract shapes surrounding them painted by MSK/TSL’s Push (left) and Zes (right).

Long time friend Zes teamed up with UGLARworks once again and rocked this art deco tower in Little Tokyo/DTLA. The mural was commissioned by Hold Up Art Gallery. Evan painted a lifelike orangutan that looks as if it’s calling in an air strike. Zes and Jose responded to the call precisely hitting their target with abstract shapes and bright colors. Definitely a must see.
Known Gallery is proud to present Excavated Revelations, a dual exhibition featuring new work by Los Angeles-based artists ZES and RETNA. Introduced in their youth by their mutual friend AYER, ZES and RETNA led parallel lives through an upbringing in graffiti. Utilizing a fluidity and precision they mastered by painting some of the most coveted walls in the city, their refined technique is now exemplified in this fresh body of abstract work.
